HOW I CAN HELP
I work with individuals, couples and groups.
People come to see me for a range of psychological and emotional problems including the following:
Depression and anxiety
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Anorexia and Bulimia
Trauma (including Complex Trauma)
Managing difficult emotions
Loss of meaning
Severe and Enduring Mental Health Problems
Some of these problems have been well-researched and this has resulted in the development of particular clinical methods that are known to be helpful. I may use these if appropriate. At the same time, this is not true of all cases and in these instances, I will take a wider view that may include spending time exploring the past.
There are also those who seek help for recent stressful life-events. In these cases, it may only take a few sessions to resolve the problem and move on. Not everybody who seeks help needs long-term therapy.
Whatever the issues, I aim to provide a warm, empathic environment in which I will encourage you to collaborate with me to think about the most helpful way for us to work together.
Individual psychotherapy sessions cost £60 and last for one hour. I am also able to offer a limited amount of therapy places at reduced rates. I will be happy to discuss this with you.
Fees for couple and group sessions, can be negotiated depending on your needs. For couples my fees are between £60-£90 a session. Group fees are between £20-£30 a session.
WHERE I WORK
Jane's Lewes Therapy room
Jane's London Therapy room
I work in two locations; the centre of Lewes, and Hampstead in North London. Both practices have large, attractive and comfortable rooms, where I am able to offer a broad range of specialisms and expertise, within a professional, friendly and confidential service.
CODE OF ETHICS
I am fully insured and abide by the codes of ethics and practice of my professional associations: The Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC); the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am GDPR compliant; all client data is managed with maximum diligence and security.
COMMITMENT TO EQUALITY & DIVERSITY
Our practice is committed of offering a service that is non-discriminatory and embraces the diversity of all our clients, including gender, race, disability, religion and sexual orientation.
I also provide clinical supervision to a variety of mental health practitioners, and trainees. In supervision I offer a supportive and reflective space for you to explore issues from your practice. This may include thinking about the therapy relationship, developing a greater understanding of clients’ problems, your needs as a developing therapist, and any ethical issues that may arise.
FEES FOR SUPERVISION
For qualified therapists I charge £40 for a supervision session. For trainees I charge £30 a session.
