HOW I CAN HELP
I work with individuals, couples and groups.
People come to see me for a range of psychological and emotional problems including the following:
-
Depression and anxiety
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-
Anorexia and Bulimia
-
Trauma (including Complex Trauma)
-
Relationship problems
-
Managing difficult emotions
-
Low self-esteem
-
Loss of meaning
-
Severe and Enduring Mental Health Problems
Some of these problems have been well-researched and this has resulted in the development of particular clinical methods that are known to be helpful. I may use these if appropriate. At the same time, this is not true of all cases and in these instances, I will take a wider view that may include spending time exploring the past.
There are also those who seek help for recent stressful life-events. In these cases, it may only take a few sessions to resolve the problem and move on. Not everybody who seeks help needs long-term therapy.
Whatever the issues, I aim to provide a warm, empathic environment in which I will encourage you to collaborate with me to think about the most helpful way for us to work together.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION
I also provide clinical supervision to a variety of mental health practitioners, and trainees. In supervision I offer a supportive and reflective space for you to explore issues from your practice. This may include thinking about the therapy relationship, developing a greater understanding of clients’ problems, your needs as a developing therapist, and any ethical issues that may arise.
FEES FOR SUPERVISION
For qualified therapists I charge £40 for a supervision session. For trainees I charge £30 a session.
